It’s a sparse week for dramas as many shows were preempted to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the ‘War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea’ as it is known in China. Same as the previous week, Hunan TV’s Living Toward the Sun still leads on television with CSM59 ratings over 2%. On the other hand, spy thriller Sniper which comes in second with CSM59 ratings over 1.5% takes the lead as the top drama online.
Meanwhile, new premieres shake up the online rankings. Tan Songyun whose had a spectacular year with back-to-back dramas returns with Dear Mayang Street opposite Timmy Xu Weizhou and Niu Junfeng. Dear Mayang Street snatches up the crown as the leading web drama for the week. Although not far behind are Ju Jingyi and Zhang Zhehan’s reunion drama The Blooms at Ruyi Pavillion and Love Is Sweet which is close to finishing its run. Youth romance Professional and Single starring Song Yiren and Deng Chaoyuan as two people who’d much rather be single than attached rounds up the list in 10th.
Love Is Sweet star Leo Luo Yunxi moves up one spot to overtake Zhu Yilong as the top celeb this week. His leading lady Bai Lu ranks in 3rd.
