On June 23rd, A Dream Within a Dream actress Bambi Zhu Xudan announced that herself and her management company Jaywalk Entertainment have parted ways. After working with the company since her debut ten years ago, the 33-year-old officially bids farewell to Jaywalk as she won’t be renewing her contract with them. The split between parties though appears to be an amicable one despite previous speculation.
“I have grown on this journey and have learned a lot. I’ve graduated and now setting off on my own journey with gratitude. Thank you @Jaywalk for your guidance over the past decade. I wish you a better future” she wrote. Meanwhile, Jaywalk shared “ten years of accompanying each other and witnessing each other’s growth. We wish you happiness and all the best in the future.”
Aside from closing the chapter on her partnership with Jaywalk, Zhu Xudan is turning the page to a new beginning with the establishment of her own Zhu Xudan Bambi Studio which will give her more control of her career.
Is Dillraba Next?
Bambi Zhu Xudan joins the ranks of stars like Yang Mi, Vin Zhang Binbin and Huang Mengying who’ve all bid adieu to the management agency. Her leaving now puts the spotlight on remaining stars such as Dilraba Dilmurat, Zhang Yunlong, Gao Weiguang etc and whether they’ll be following suit. As one of Jaywalk’s biggest stars, Reba in particular has been the topic of speculation whether she will be the next to end her contract with the company.
In recent years, the company has been accused of failing to retain its top talents and for displaying double standards towards its artists. In the controversy concerning young actress Huang Yang Tiantian, Jaywalk was accused of “selectively” taking action versus issues concerning their other artists including Dilraba Dilmurat.

When Yang Mi left, their presence in the industry dropped. If/when Dilraba leaves, they will just think about wonderful old days..
