Fresh from the success of her drama Blossoms Shanghai, Tiffany Tang Yan returns with yet another drama with hit potential in Lady Liberty 独身女人. The upcoming modern series is the adaptation of the novel Single Woman from author Yi Shu. Anyone familiar with her work will know Yi Shu is the very same author who wrote the novel Liu Yifei’s drama The Tale of Rose was based on. But if that’s still not enough to impress, Mark Chao also signed on and y’all know how he’s been very picky with the dramas he chooses to work on these days.
Likewise, after keeping a low profile for a number of years herself, Tang Yan successfully made her industry comeback in Blossoms Shanghai which was directed by the famed director Wong Kar Wai. Not only did she find herself being nominated for a Magnolia Award for Best Actress for her amazing portrayal of Miss Wang, it appears she’s well on her way to reaching new heights in her career once again, most especially if Lady Liberty proves to be a hit as predicted. This time around, the 41-year-old actress sports a short do to play the the protagonist of Lady Liberty.

We are getting quality dramas…I hope.

Mark Chao usually picks good scripts…or at least that’s what I’ve always read about him. I liked the couple of things I’ve seen him in.
Tiffany Tang’s styling reminds me of how she looked in My Sunshine from 2015. I only saw that recently, so it’s fresh in my mind. The lady has not aged since then!
