Talk about keeping work life and home life separate. You Are My Secret 私藏浪漫 features colleagues on the surface who are lovers and confidants outside of the office. Miles Wei Zheming and Karlina Zhang Jianing team up for the first time to star in the drama adaptation of author Qing An’s novel (办公室隐婚) about a secret office marriage.

Miles Wei Zheming has quite a busy year with You Are My Secret being his 5th drama to air in 2024, having had supporting roles in White Cat Legend and as the second lead in Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact as well as lead roles in Lady Revenger Returns from the Fire and 19th Floor. Meanwhile, co-star Karlina Zhang Jianing, best known for starring in Shining for One Thing, is also going on her 5th drama this year having retuned with shows such as Like a Flowing River 3 and Ode to Joy 5.
New posters were also released, and I love how it’s all business-like with the cast’s outfits yet all romantic and soft with the pretty florals bordering the posters. Definitely gives off workplace romance vibes doesn’t it. And how cute are they in the trailer as they attempt to keep the relationship a secret?
Like many modern dramas, it looks like we may have a few more onsceen couples as Wang Zhen’er, Zhou Chengao, Dai Yunfan and Ke Ying also join the casting lineup. You Are My Secret is set to premiere July 31, 2024 on Hunan TV and Mango TV.

In the story, Tu Xiaoning (Zhang Jianing) and Ji Yuheng (Wei Zheming) are former school mates who reunite several years later. They hit it off during a blind date. Due to circumstances, the pair need to marry as soon as possible. But a complication unexpectedly arises when Ji Yuheng, a rising star in the bank where Tu Xiaoning currently works at as a probationary employee, suddenly becomes her boss.
There lies the tricky part. How do they balance between career and love, how to co-exist whilst ensuring absolute fairness in the workplace and making sure it won’t impact their relationship? Clearly it’s easier said than done for the couple especially when Yuheng has to whip the KPIs back into shape and it’s his wife that’s bearing the brunt of his critique. Nonetheless, the strict bank executive turns out to be pretty sweet as he “yields” to his wife at home.
