Personally, I quite like Ju Jingyi’s charm in dramas, going as far back as “Legend of Yunxi” some years ago, and it’s regrettable how the show’s success has become marred by discord.

Whatever the case, it seems that the online vitriol has prompted Zheng He Hui Zi’s studio to take action. Their statement denied any involvement in negative tactics or manipulation, urging against spreading false rumors. They emphasized the individuality of each character portrayal and expressed gratitude for the audience’s support and feedback. Acknowledging areas for improvement, both Zheng He Hui Zi and her team remain committed to their craft while navigating the complexities of public opinion.

Ju Jingyi is very pretty. But let’s face it. She is a mediocre actress. And a lazy one to boot, as we haven’t seen any improvement in her acting at all, despite so many years acting in so many dramas already.

JJY probably would be a decent actress if she wasn’t trying to look pretty all the time. I think her early years showed some promise. Instead of improving on her acting skills, she focused more on looks, which in all fairness, has worked for her since she has a pretty decent fandom.
If ZHHZ had the resources to manipulate data against JJY, I don’t think she’d still be playing these small roles. She’s only led some small budget dramas. She’s not that powerful. The general consensus is that ZHHZ played truer to the character description. If JJY didn’t do such a bad job of playing Yang Caiwei after, there might not even be that much buzz. When you literally have two actresses playing the same character in the same drama, it’s hard not to compare. ZHHZ totally outshines her in the acting department.
