
Another day, another incident where the antics of sisheng fan (stalkers) and daipai (paid photographers) just keep getting more outrageous. News of people breaking into the set was reported this time around by the crew of Rising with the Wind 我要逆风去. It has only been three days since the show officially kicked off filming on December 7, yet obsessive folks have already broken in to film behind the scenes footage which they then leaked to the public.

Rising with the Wind stars Simon Gong Jun opposite Elaine Zhong Chuxi. With Simon considered to be a “hot ticket” following the runaway success of Word of Honor, this is the second time in a row one of his sets was overrun by people secretly taking photos.
In early autumn, his drama The Legend of Anle opposite Dilraba Dilmurat drew a lot of buzz what with series being the first time the two stars are working together. With the pull from both their names separately, imagine the anticipation with their names combined. Which is why news of folks disrupting filming operations isn’t unexpected. The Legend of Anle wrapped last month and we’re now seeing Simon Gong Jun move on to his next project.

Rising with the Wind Issues Statement
On December 9, Rising with the Wind released a statement decrying the actions of daipai and sisheng fans who broke into the set to secretly film sans permission. They re-emphasise that it is strictly forbidden to enter the set without authorisation. The production also said that they have the right to pursue accountability through legal channels.
Rising with the Wind is adapted from a novel by author Wei Zai. Her other works that have been adapted to dramas include Nice to Meet You and We Are all Alone. Rising with the Wind is a modern workplace drama about the challenges of running a family legacy. The series also stars Betty Wu Xuanyi and Gao Zhiting. Miles Wei Zheming, Morni Chang, Wen Zhen Rong, Liu Pei Qi, Gao Shuguang and Julie Ye Qing guest star.
