Yan An has risen in popularity since he played a supporting role in Blossom last year. However, a now-deleted post titled “Seven Questions for Yan An,” which included allegations of a chaotic private life and misconduct sent the 25-year-old actor to the top of China’s hot search rankings. The same day, Yan An responded with a nearly 1,000-word post that has some praising it for being a very detailed response to controversies. He addressed each allegation and even clarified his sexual orientation.
His studio issued a formal statement calling the allegations “seriously false,” requesting removal of infringing content, and confirming they have gathered evidence for legal action. His agency, Youhug Media, also supported Yan An, stating that claims of a chaotic private life or transactional relationships were malicious fabrications and affirming his adherence to professional ethics.
Addressing the Seven Allegations
Yan An denied that his team ever recruited sisheng fans, and clarified that the woman in question, Ms. Du, is actually his cousin (who joined the team in July 2025), along with a photo to prove their familial relationship. He shut down allegations of misconduct by his team and explained that everyone was formally recruited and there was no “private contact with fans.”
Regarding concerns over his “low participation in projects,” Yan An explained that in 2025 he engaged in stage performances, variety shows, and live streaming, all of which were “valuable opportunities for more exposure.” However, he’d really have to fight hard to secure film and TV roles.
Yan An explained that the 880 RMB ticket price for his birthday event, which some found expensive, included nine hours of interaction (face-to-face signing and stage performance). Lower-priced tickets were available for audience-only attendance. He added that gifts were standardized and expressed willingness to accept feedback if the experience fell short.
Citing safety concerns, Yan An explained that in November 2025, fans trying to get close to him triggered congestion, some nearly fell from the platform at the train station. Some gifts contained tracking devices prompted him to suspend these types of interactions.
For the first time, Yan An explicitly stated, “I am straight,” refuting allegations that he gained opportunities through same-sex relationships or had affairs with men.
Regarding the January 9 incident where fans claimed he ignored them, Yan An explained that confidentiality requirements regarding his on-set styling meant he could only nod or smile.
Yan An said, “I have never smoked, nor will I ever smoke, in public places or in non-smoking areas. Smoking is harmful to health. And I sincerely apologize for the negative impact that this has had on everyone. I am truly sorry.”

I know literally nothing about him but none of these claims against him are even bad. Sucks he had to do this but I 100% understand why he felt the need to address them all. Hopefully people will leave him alone.

I know of Yan An on afew variety and reality show. I find him cleancut youth, smart, quick witted and humorous. He is very well spoken and he danced well. I wish his career path well. I am glad he address the rumours.
