Luo Yunxi Looks in Great Shape for Forensic Crime Drama “The Truth Within”

Forensic crime drama The Truth Within (剥茧) has officially wrapped filming, marking the end of several months of production. Luo Yunxi shared a photo with Liu Yase (See Her Again) and Jiang Qilin (Escape from the Trilateral Slopes), the main trio leading the cast.

From Historical Roles to Modern Crime Drama

While there has been talk about Luo Yunxi being too thin—noticeably different from his earlier days in Ashes of Love—many fans have observed that he seems to be gaining some weight back, and he’s looking great in this drama. His face looks slightly fuller, though he shared that at one point, his face felt bloated that he did pushups, and it became a daily challenge between him and co-star Jiang Qilin to do 200 pushups on set.

Since many forensic experts are nearsighted, Luo Yunxi wore eyeglasses for his newest role as a forensic doctor to add authenticity and help him get into character. The short haircut, in line with his role as a police officer, is a refreshing change for fans used to seeing him in historical roles. And honestly, when he puts on those glasses—the feels!

The Truth Within Synopsis
