Crime thriller series See Her Again 太阳星辰 starring William Chan, is set to premiere on Tencent Video and Netflix on November 20, 2024. Directed by KK Wong and written by Tong Yiu-leung, the series combines suspense with a time-travel twist. It also brings back actor William Chan whose focus was in Chinese dramas in recent years to a project actually set in Hong Kong.
Produced by Tencent and Hong Kong’s Drama Apple, See Her Again follows the story of a dedicated detective from the 1990s, who is caught in a mysterious series of events that transports him to 2018. His life changes dramatically as he realizes that the same elusive serial killer responsible for unresolved cases in his time is at large again in this new era. Together with a female detective (Liu Yase) from his “future,” they navigate the clues linking both timelines in a quest for justice.
The time-travel element definitely adds a freshness to the typical police drama and the teaser gives a glimpse into lots of tension, and morally complex characters, which could be quite a role for William Chan who plays a husband and father in the series. He is joined by award-winning actress Cya Liu Yase. Other cast include a special appearance by Stephen Fung as well as Tse Kwan Ho and Niki Chow.
