On April 29, 2025, Zhao Yue, a second-generation member of SNH48, announced during her birthday livestream that she has officially ended her 10-year contract with Siba Media. The idol-actress who just turned 30 years old described the decision as one made after careful thought, thanking her agency for a decade of companionship. Siba Media responded by reposting Zhao’s announcement, writing “Lucky to have walked alongside you, now chase your dreams freely.”
Unlike the contentious exits of past SNH48 members such as Ju Jingyi and Huang Tingting, this marks an amicable separation. Zhao Yue debuted in 2013 with SNH48 and later joined groups like 7SENSES and BonBon Girls 303 after finishing as part of the final lineup during the survival show Chuang 2020. Even after establishing her own studio in 2022, she remained contractually bound to Siba. Now that she’s left, she can continue to dabble in music and acting. Zhao Yue has also begun exploring livestream e-commerce, hinting at growing independence.
