Yang Zi and Elvis Han Dongjun’s upcoming drama Family Business 家业 has just wrapped filming recently. The two actors star as rivals turned lovers in the female centric costume historical which is set during the Ming dynasty.
Judging from her track record, Yang Zi has proven time and again that she has the knack for picking the right script that appeals to audiences. From her more recent projects such as Flourished Peony and Lost You Forever to older works such as Ashes of Love, she sure knows how to pick ‘em. I wouldn’t be surprised if this turns out to be another hit. Yang Zi plays Li Zhen, the talented youngest daughter in a family who specialises in Huizhou ink. Much like her character Hu Weifang in Flourished Peony, she tries to carve out a place for herself in the world and maybe save their family business along the way.
Likewise, Han Dongjun who rose to fame through his breakout role in The Monster Killer also comes from a major ink-making family. In their quest to make their family’s ink businesses the best in the world, the two industry rivals clash wits and butt heads as they set their sights on producing top quality ink. Will their rivalry yield a renewed ink making industry and will it lead to something more for the two rivals?
The cast of Family Business also features Wu Mian, Tian Xiaojie, Wang Zihao, Xie Xin, Li Hongliang, Yang Si, Xu Baihui, Fu Jia, Wang Wenqi, Zhou Zhi, Wang Xuedong and Nafesa.
