Chuang Asia Season 2, the international spin-off of Chinese survival show Chuang—marking the franchise’s sixth season—premiered on February 2, 2025, and just wrapped up its grand debut night on WeTV. Held in Thailand once again ever since idol survival shows were banned in China, this season didn’t generate as much buzz as past ones, but many fans still celebrated their favorites’ success.
The final seven-member boy group debuting as NexT1DE are ranked as follows: DORN, THI-O, Hu Yetao, Shen Yisheng, OMAR, Lin Jinxiong (Xiong), and Yao Ziyao. Top 2 members DORN and THI-O are both Thai idols. Dorn was certainly among the fan favorites from the very beginning as he impressed everyone with his outstanding dance skills. Also notable is Chinese trainee Hu Yetao, recognized for his androgynous look since Chuang 2021, who returned for another shot with greater confidence and flair to finally debut.
It’s kind of nostalgic that we’re already on the sixth season. The show even featured a tribute medley of theme songs from past Tencent survival shows, featuring appearances from Rocket Girls 101’s Meng Meiqi, R1SE’s Ren Hao, BonBon Girls 303’s Zhao Yue, INTO1’s Mika, and Gen1es’ Qiao Yiyu.
