Trouble appears to be in the horizon for actor Song Weilong. Chinese media just reported that he recently filed a suit against his management company, Huanyu Films. The contract dispute between the actor and Yu Zheng’s company was discovered following today’s court announcement by the People’s Court of Beijing’s Chaoyang district. Fans have also found that using his Chinese name (宋威龙) in any way to set up new fan accounts on Weibo is no longer possible.
The 23-year-old actor’s star has steadily risen since the romance drama Find Yourself and the family oriented series Go Ahead both of which aired in 2020. In fact, in 2020 alone, he’s had four projects including In a Class of Her Own and Beautiful Reborn Flower, hit the air. Which is why it’s super unexpected to learn that the actor hasn’t actually had any new dramas out in the market since then nor has he filmed any new ones lately.
Last year, Song Weilong filmed a webdrama entitled Bionic 仿生人间. With the future of BL dramas still looking bleak, even the fate of his series A League of Nobleman (Zhang Gong An) opposite Jing Boran remains uncertain.
