The conflict reportedly began much earlier and was said to have contributed to her health problems, which reached their worst in 2024. For a time, Zhao Lusi could only rely on live streaming and was unable to sign on to new projects. Now, the new announcement clearly symbolizes a fresh start.

Alongside the post, Zhao Lusi studio released behind-the-scenes footage from her latest hit drama Love’s Ambition. The show’s success, achieved with minimal promotion, reaffirmed her status as one of the top stars among her peers. Notably, her studio’s profile has been updated to remove all mentions of KU Media. The account’s IP location also now shows Sichuan, Zhao Lusi’s hometown. Fans noticed that the old company email was deleted and replaced by a new address for future work collaborations.

Prior to this, multiple media sources have speculated that Zhao Lusi had indeed successfully terminated her contract and may have signed with Hujing Digital Media & Entertainment Group (虎鲸文娱), a subsidiary of Alibaba. Whatever the case, Zhao Lusi’s new chapter looks bright, with her studio ready to take flight and fans eager for her long-awaited comeback.
