A Chinese tour guide just went viral for the most unusual of reasons – her resemblance to top Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat who also hails from Urumqi, Xinjiang. Anyone in her shoes will probably be pretty chuffed to be compared to the star who is known for her beauty. After all, Dilraba, from the Uyghur ethnic group, whose name literally means ‘beloved beauty’ has been the face gracing countless magazine covers with multimillion commercial endorsements for domestic and international brands alike. Nonetheless, Dilnur – yep even her name is similar to Reba’s, humbly says her looks are “just pretty average in Xinjiang!”
A native of Southern Xinjiang, Dilnur often leads tours and makes occasional videos sharing the beauty of Xinjiang for social media. On her sudden popularity because of her resemblance to Dilraba, the pretty tour guide says “of course I am happy. Who doesn’t have a dream of becoming a celebrity? To be honest though, I’m really just average looking in Xinjiang”. What do you guys think? Does Dilnur indeed look like Reba?
