“People’s hearts turn out to be disappointments” laments Betty Wu Xuanyi. Everyone surmised that the pretty singer and actress was talking about her recent encounter where she was practically accosted by daipai at the Beijing airport. According to fans who were at the scene, the 30-year-old star was happily signing autographs and taking photos with fans when a bunch of daipai suddenly barged in. The happy scene quickly descended into chaos with photographers rushing in and aggressively pushing others away to take their own photos of the actress.

This is yet another incident where daipai (代拍) have made a nuisance of themselves once again with their questionable methods. From harassing actors and blocking their way to crowding into hotels and airports, there’s practically nothing they wouldn’t do just to get the money shot of their “prey”. As much as actors and stars have pleaded and cautioned them to chase stars safely and rationally, they just won’t listen.
Poor Wu Xuanyi was reduced to crying tears of frustration as she squatted down in the corner. Later, she wrote on social media if it wasn’t for her fans, the stage and her dreams, she wouldn’t want to be involved in the industry at all because people in the circle are huge disappointments.
Wu Xuanyi made her debut as a member of the South Korean girl group WJSN and became popular after appearing in the survival show Produce 101 China in 2018. She was part of the debut group Rocket Girls 101 after placing 2nd in the competition.

Seriously, they should make “daipai” a criminal act. Then anyone who engages in it can be arrested.
