Taiwanese actor Dylan Kuo, who’s turning 48 this year, opened up about how people often assume he is married. Dylan’s post also reignited curiosity about his past romance with actress Ma Zehan, whom he publicly dated in 2021 and planned to marry in 2023. Their relationship, which had a 19-year age gap, received blessings from fans at the time. However, it appears the romance had ended long ago.
He Wrote, “I’m Not Married”
The actor wrote on social media, “Over the years, people have repeatedly told me, ‘I heard you got married—congratulations!’ But I always reply, ‘I’m not married. I’ve been single for years.’” He finds it frustrating that many equate happiness with marriage, questioning why people ask him about settling down just because everyone’s doing it. He expressed his belief that people should live for themselves rather than be pressured by societal expectations. “Life is already tough enough. Why punish ourselves with the opinions of others?” he wrote.
Dylan also shared how he has turned to outdoor activities like rock climbing, cycling, and camping to escape the noise of daily life and clear his mind. These experiences have helped him find peace and motivation. “I realized that what needs to change is not my actions, but my mindset,” he reflected.
His post comes as he films a new drama, which he says has brought him immense joy. “Doing what I love, playing the roles I want—this happiness is truly fulfilling!”
