Zhao Lusi’s new drama “Love’s Ambition,” which is still currently filming, has already received good reviews for her styling as popular anchor Xu Yan. Having “leaked photos” from the set is pretty common in Chinese entertainment; it’s sometimes led to complaints early on from fans potentially unhappy with how their idol has been styled. But for “Love’s Ambition,” comments have been nothing but positive.
The 25-year-old star has already trended on the Weibo hot search several times over her outfits. Whether she’s dressed sporty or like a fashionista, one outfit even had her in couture. While it’s something you often see on the runway, it’s certainly not something you usually see in dramas. Even the brand, Julien Fournie, had a post about the actress. After Zhao Lusi finished filming “The Story of Pearl Girl,” which was just before filming “Love’s Ambition,” she went shopping in Korea and even made an unboxing vlog to share her haul. In “Hidden Love,” Zhao Lusi is said to have also used her own clothes for her role as Sang Zhi and contacted sponsors to prepare costumes for other cast members since she feels outfits in scenes are very important for the overall atmosphere of the show.
