Hong Kong singer Steven Cheung has been making efforts to rebuild his career after years away from the spotlight, recently hinting that a small concert could be coming soon. The 41-year-old singer-actor once had a successful career as a member of Cantopop duo Boy’z, but faced major controversy in 2019 after allegations of being a serial cheater ruined his public image.
Meanwhile, he and his wife, Au Yin Man (Wenwen), who welcomed four sons in less than four years since getting married in 2019 have been open about facing overwhelming debt while raising their family of six. Cheung has reportedly taken on physically demanding jobs, including being a mover just to support his family. Since the beginning of 2026, Steven Cheung has made several attempts to return to performing and his latest appearance was for a crowd of residents at Long Ping Estate during Mid-Autumn Festival.
Cheung later shared photos on social media, saying he was grateful for the invitation and that it had been many years since he last performed in Hong Kong. He also wrote, “I saw many grandparents, all very alert, and the kids were dancing together on stage, although I didn’t get a good shot..” He drew support online, with some encouraging Cheung to continue performing. One even asked where his next show would be held and he replied, “Good question. Keep an eye on my social media. I’ll be holding a small concert soon.”
