Chinese actress Angel Wang Ou has revealed that she is currently raising a child on her own. She also appealed to the public not to focus excessively on her private life and to give the child a quiet space in which to grow up. The 43-year-old actress made the public statement after being photographed taking her daughter class. Her response is seen as a move to put an end to the endless rumors about her.
Over the past year, Wang Ou has been photographed on multiple occasions while spending time with a young girl believed to be around two years old. At times, the child is also accompanied by Wang Ou’s mother, younger sister, or a nanny.
Wang Ou was previously rumored to be in a relationship with Deyunshe cross-talk performer He Jiuhua in 2021. He Jiuhua also reportedly attended Wang Ou’s younger sister’s wedding as a “family member.” In March 2026, Wang Ou explicitly stated during a livestream that she was “single.” Two months later, He Jiuhua acknowledged on a variety show that he has a two-year-old daughter, but did not mention who the child’s mother was. In Wang Ou’s latest statement, she only emphasized that she is “raising the child on her own” and did not reveal the identity of the father.

She wrote, “I’d like to briefly share something with everyone: I am currently raising a child on my own. She is a precious gift in my life, bringing me so much warmth and strength. This is a part of my everyday life that I want to cherish and protect, and I have no intention of taking up any public resources. She is still very young, and I sincerely hope everyone can avoid focusing too much on my private life and instead leave this little one a quiet space where she can grow up freely and peacefully. 🙏 Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and understanding. ❤️”

I wish people wouldn’t photograph celebrities’ children. Its so so dangerous and harmful. I’ve read about celebrities’ children being kidnapped for ransom because criminals associate celebrities as having lots of money (which they don’t always do have). When paparazzi or fans photograph the child those people are putting a target on the child’s back.
Also, I don’t need to know if a celebrity is experiencing single parenthood. Its not a moral failing; there are all kinds of reasons why single parenthood happens and its nobody’s business why. My mom was a widow through most of raising me and my brother and people would say the worst things to her. Exactly a week after my father’s death people told my mom to move on and restart dating. We had just finished the funeral the day previous.
