Pursuit of Jade 逐玉, starringZhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei, has just experienced a major leak with its remaining episodes, exposing even the series finale. The series, currently airing on official platforms had only reached episode 30. It’a also airing globally on Netflix. However, episodes 31–40, yet to be broadcast, have suddenly appeared on the internet, some in 4K high definition.
Some leaked versions reportedly contain platform logos, censorship watermarks, and promotional markings, suggesting the content may have been leaked internally during production or distribution stages. Apparently, some pirated links have viruses, leading to financial losses for users.
It’s Not the First Time
In response, Netizens have suggested that producers release the remaining episodes or an uncut version early to reduce the damage. Fans are calling for viewers to only support official channels. This is not the first time this has happened with similar incidents affecting hit dramas like Go Go Squid and Joy of Life, leading to questions that this occurred because Pursuit of Jade has gotten too “big.”
Tencent Video, iQIYI and production company Houhan Yingshi issued a firm statement condemning the incident. They stated that unauthorized distribution not only “disrupts the normal broadcasting order of the drama but also infringes upon the legitimate rights and interests of the producers and creators, causing significant harm.” They further emphasized their intent to take legal action, declaring they would “trace the sources of leaks” and “pursue legal responsibility to protect legitimate rights and recover damages.”
The platforms also urged viewers, “don’t buy, don’t watch, don’t distribute pirated content,” warning against suspicious links and encouraging users to report illegal resources.

Except the drama is popular. It’s the only C-drama to reach the top 10 global charts on Netflix in the non-english category. Regardless of water data chatter, it is well-discussed drama.
The leak honestly sounds like the fault of iQIYI (their watermark is shown the pirated leaks). it’s screwing over Tencent’s heat index and their own. it’s a terrible financial loss and sometimes networks are idiots. Remember HBO’s Game of Thrones height of leaks?
