Tian Du Yi Wen Lu: Xu Kai and Miles Wei Zheming Lead Historical Suspense Drama

Tian Du Yi Wen Lu 天都异闻录 has recently completed four months of filming in Hengdian and unveiled its first look at the cast, starring Xu Kai and Miles Wei Zheming. Adapted from the novel Tang An Wu Ming 唐案无名, the series follows the title character Shi Wuming, a county magistrate of Ping’an County whose exceptional investigative skills earn him a transfer to the Dali Court. There, he teams up with Su Xuelo to investigate a string of mysterious cases unfolding across Tiandu City.

While historical crime-solving dramas are a familiar genre in C-dramaland, the dual male lead setup remains a major draw for audiences. That popularity, however, also comes with its share of fan-driven tension, as solo fans rally behind their respective idols with Xu Kai fans emphasizing his top-billing and Wei Zheming’s fans also supporting him. Still, anticipation remains high for the dynamic between their two characters, whose contrasting personalities promise a compelling investigative partnership. Forced into cooperation due to unresolved grudges stemming from their fathers’ past, the pair gradually set aside their differences to uncover the truth.

The supporting cast includes Zhang Huiwen as Xiang Chengge and He Nan as Xiao Yu, with special appearances by He Luoluo, Li Gengyun and more.
