Earlier today, Chinese actor Xu Kai finds himself at the centre of a brewing controversy after Xu Lisha, an actress who played a small role New Life Begins, let loose that she was dating Xu Kai in 2022. That’s not the only thing she alleged as she also claimed the reason they broke up was because he cheated on her. Meanwhile, in a statement through his Studio, the 30-year-old actor countered back saying he’s currently single and that he’s had no contact with Xu Lisha since 2021. Moreover he says the chat logs she released are fake and that they’ve already contacted the police to handle the investigation.
What She Said
On August 18, Xu Lisha revealed she was Xu Kai’s girlfriend in 2022 and that the reason why Xu Kai was hesitant to go public with their relationship was because he feared the impact it will have on his family. To back up her claim, the actress even shared clips and photos from the time they were dating – alleged photos of them holding hands and even more intimate ones showing him smoking and in bed. There were also screenshots from their alleged chat where he is begging her to get back together.
Xu Lisha said they ultimately broke up because of those photographs of Xu Kai going into a hotel with actress Zhao Qing. However, it was her cryptic response to a comment that “it’s more than just cheating” that left many asking the question was she hinting at a far more complex reason?

In a statement, Xu Kai’s Studio emphasised that “the artist involved in the online rumour and Mr. Xu Kai had a brief encounter a few years ago but has long lost contact with.” Stressing that the online chat records are fake, they said they will be pursuing legal action against rumourmongers who continue to spread falsehoods.
Meanwhile, Xu Kai’s boss Yu Zheng also weighed in on the sitch. “I think an actor needs to be famous through legit channels like their acting skills”. The controversial producer also questioned the timing of Xu Lisha’s revelations. Considering it’s been quite a number of years since they supposedly broke up in 2022, why is she only coming forward now? “If it’s unrequited love, it should’ve been resolved long ago. If it’s resentment, they would have revealed it long ago. Why the sudden move today? I can’t think of any other reason other than publicity”. After all, Xu Kai is currently starring in the just released drama Moonlit Reunion.
As for the situation with Zhao Qing, an artist also managed by Yu Zheng who also denied the allegations, their boss Yu Zheng insists there was nothing between Xu Kai and the actress saying the actor was mentoring Zhao Qing who was a newbie at the time. With Yu Zheng entering the fray, the situation has quickly descended into a “he said she said” sort of situation with Xu Lisha not only facing off against Xu Kai but also against Yu Zheng. Who knows what other truth bombs will follow next?

I know right, it puts woman in such a bad light. When a relationship ended, you moved on and find someone new, not holding on to it for years and then started posting about it just because he’s a public figure or his drama is on a hot search.
I’m all about supporting woman but in this case, girl needs to move on with her life and stop holding on the grudge. Every relationship has a breaking point, some may recover and other may not.

Also from the beginning, her statement was full of loopholes, she backtracked on many things like the clothes were bought by herself not by xk and also the pictures of xk she posted weren’t taken by her but fans,..
