Former NCT member Lucas Wong is officially making his acting debut in Taiwan! After a few years break following controversies that impacted his career, the 26-year-old idol is stepping into a new chapter as an actor. He recently announced that he will star in a Taiwanese drama.
“I’m super happy and thankful to the director and crew for giving me this chance,” he shared. “This is my first time acting, and I’m really nervous! But everyone has been very supportive, giving me valuable advice to help me prepare.”
Since returning to the spotlight last year through a documentary where he apologized and reflected on his past, Lucas has been working hard to rebuild his career. His training schedule includes acting lessons, dance, body movement classes, and even boxing. He also revealed his love for Taiwan, saying, “The people here are so kind and polite. And the food is amazing—I love braised pork rice and hot pot!”
As he embarks on his new career in Taiwan, Lucas is eager to collaborate with local stars, naming Greg Hsu as an actor he admires. “I watched his Korean drama, and he was amazing! It would be an honor to work with him.”
