Chen Feiyu returns to modern romance in Eat Run Love 吃饭跑步和恋爱, his first drama of this genre three years since his successful onscreen pairing with Zhang Jingyi in 2022’s hit Lighter & Princess. It marked the peak of his popularity before a period of low profile following personal controversies. Now, Eat Run Love marks a fresh new chapter as he returns in a Youku drama, this time opposite Zhuang Dafei.
Chen Feiyu plays Gan Yang, a golden boy on campus who falls head over heels for Zhuang Dafei’s Ding Zhitong—a tough, independent girl constantly hustling to pay off debts. At first, she’s too busy for love, but Gan Yang’s cheerful persistence softens her heart. But just as their romance blossoms, life hits hard. When Gan Yang’s wealthy family crumbles, he walks away without a word. Zhitong, thinking she was abandoned, is left heartbroken.
Fast forward six years—she’s now a rising businesswoman, forced to face the man who once broke her heart, this time in a high-stakes business deal. Can they find closure, or maybe even rekindle what was lost?
Eat Run Love premieres on April 8, 2025. The cast also includes the very pretty Lin Boyang, who’s been in supporting roles lately from The Blood of Youth to The First Shot. Denny Huang, Yi Daqian, and Shang Xinyue round out the cast.
