First, big congratulations are in order for idol-actor Ray Zhao Lei who’s a member of X Nine as well as the temporary boyband R1SE.
X Nine’s Zhao Lei Surprises Fans with Marriage
Ray Zhao Lei announced he and influencer wife Qko tied the knot by sharing some Polaroid snaps taken as they got their red marriage registration booklets. Looking ecstatic and very much in love, Zhao Lei captioned it “our little home may not be big, but it can hold our laughter and dreams”. However, the joyous announcement was met with disapproval from some. As fan culture in China involves significant spending to support idols, some fans even demanded refunds, believing Zhao was single before his marriage announcement, despite past dating rumors with Qko.
Meanwhile, a number of celebrity friends as well as bandmates like Xia Zhiguang and Peng Chuyue congratulated the couple. X Nine’s Guo Zifan also revealed that the newly weds have been together for many years when he said, “time flies.”
Alex Fong and Maple Yip Tie the Knot
Meanwhile, Alex Fong and his partner Maple Yip both confirmed they’re finally off the dating market! After going public with their relationship in 2023, the 44-year-old Hong Kong singer-actor announced he’s married in a short but sweet post. “We got married here! Wishing everyone a happy valentines!” Though the pic he shared of what looks to be a romantic beach wedding only had drawn on stick figures, Alex totally made up for the lack of details with a pic from his romantic sunset proposal showing a “Will You Marry Me?” sign attached to a plane.
They’re Joining a Reality Show
Former fencing athlete turned actor Dong Li also posted a photo to announce that he’ll be participating in the reality show Viva La Romance with his partner Manon. His post also formally introduces his Belgian girlfriend as his wife.
