On February 20, celebrity couple Liu Yongxi, 31, and Leo Li Jiaming, 34, officially announced their divorce, bringing an end to their four-year marriage. The two met in 2018 while filming the fantasy drama Moonshine and Valentine, where they played the second couple “Xiao Ju” and “Kuan Yong.” Their chemistry extended beyond the screen, leading to a real-life romance.
In March 2020, they publicly confirmed their relationship, and just a month later, on April 1, they tied the knot. Their story played out in public as the two along with their families participated in the reality show Before Weddng. In old clips from the show, Liu Yongxi’s father openly expressed disapproval towards Li Jiaming, saying his first impression wasn’t good as it seemed the actor was overdoing his humility. Liu Yongxi who came from a wealthy family declared, “Home is wherever you are,” which deeply moved many fans.
Li Jiaming played supporting roles in Love and Destiny, and Meet Yourself, and Liu Yongxi, most recently played the second lead in The White Olive Tree. Their split is as standard as celebrity divorce announcements go. Both tagged each other in their social media posts. Li Jiaming wrote, “Thank you for the journey together. May you see more beautiful scenery in your new journey.” Liu Yongxi wrote, “Goodbye to the past, wish each of us a prosperous future.”
