On October 8, 2024, Lu Yuxiao’s studio released a statement addressing online rumors regarding her family, political stance and work. The statement denied various claims circulating on social media, including allegations that her roles were secured through exchanging resources. The studio emphasized that Lu Yuxiao holds a strong sense of national pride and identity. It refuted claims suggesting otherwise, asserting that these rumors are malicious attempts to harm the 25-year-old actress’s reputation.
Among those dismissed by her studio was the claim she’s in Heaven Official’s Blessing live-action which stars Zhang Linghe. Her studio denied that the actress is playing the role of Yushi Huang aka Lord Rain Master. The statement by Lu Yuxiao’s studio called for an immediate halt to the dissemination of false information. They said legal measures have been initiated to preserve evidence and hold accountable those who propagate misinformation.
Although the statement doesn’t go into specifics, Lu Yuxiao allegedly posting photos for mid-autumn Festival a day later was seen as unpatriotic as it coincided with Mukden Incident on September 18. Zhang Linghe’s fans rejecting his new drama Chasing Jade has also led to accusations that it’s being done by his agency to swap opportunities on behalf of Lu Yuxiao. His fans accuse her of joining in on many of his dramas though her studio only addressed one. Both are under the same agency, Star Times 众星时代, yet fans on both sides have turned on each other. The actress first landed her breakout role as the second lead in My Journey to You which had Zhang Linghe as the male lead.
