Look who made his way down the catwalk recently. It’s none other than Wang Yang (Wayne) whose fame in recent years through leading man roles in Stand or Fall and All the Way to the Sun sometimes has him referred to as a traffic star among “uncles” (叔圈顶流). The term basically refers to hot middle aged men who not only have excellent acting skills but also great physiques to boot! 46-year-old Wang Yang is supposedly part of that “club” so really, so it’s not entirely surprising to hear he got invited to walk down the catwalk for French luxury brand Hermès.

The Chinese actor who stands at a height of 180cm (5’10”) walks the runway for the first time. However, he might have to get some pointers from ex-TVB actor Paul Che who captured everyone’s attention when it was his turn to sashay down the catwalk at Shanghai Fashion Week last December. Netizens who saw Wang Yang’s runway debut joked that his walk was too tough and that he was “walking too stiffly like a thermometer”. Ouch.

Ever the sport though, the War of Faith star merely took everything in stride and cheekily said “I’ve been schooled”. “First time, walked out with a tough vibe. However I can’t seem to nail the insouciant and handsome vibe the models got going, that’s a special skill only they have”. Nonetheless it looks like a great and unforgettable experience was had. After all not everyone (even actors) gets a chance to walk down the catwalk, and for Hermès no less!
