Taiwanese actor Lee Hong-chi just won the Lion of the Future award for his movie Love Is a Gun, which he wrote and directed himself. It’s the Venice Film Festival Award for a debut film, and during the 33-year-old actor’s acceptance speech where he thanked his lover Wang Zixuan, many were pleasantly surprised to find out that he has been dating the 30-year-old actress.
In his thank you to her, he said, “I’d like to thank my lover, Zixuan. After completing filming for the movie, I always felt it wasn’t good enough. But after she watched it, she told me it’s a great movie that has to be shared with others.”
Lee Hong-chi who previously won Best New Performer at the 52nd Golden Horse Awards for Thanatos, Drunk has focused mainly on movies though drama fans may recognize him from his supporting role in the hit 2019 series Go Go Squid. Wang Zixuan who was in Sisters Who Make Waves last year first drew attention in the 2017 Republican drama Tientsin Mystic. Many found it amusing that the couple have both starred alongside Li Xian.
