Alyssa Chia and Gao Yuanyuan recently reunited for a Cosmopolitan photo shoot, and it’s definitely a treat for fans since the two beauties are known for their iconic portrayals as Zhao Min and Zhou Zhiruo in the 2002 wuxia series Heavenly Sword and Dragon Saber 倚天屠龙记.
It’s been 21 years, and Alyssa has built a strong acting career headlining dramas like The World Between Us. Lately, the 48-year-old Taiwanese actress can be seen on Ride the Wind 2023 giving her all as she sings and dances her way to the top on the Chinese survival show for female celebs. Meanwhile, the 43-year-old Gao Yuanyuan is currently filming her new family comedy film Zou Zou Ting Ting 走走停停 with Hu Ge.
It’s nice that they found the time to do the shoot and both ladies are looking better than ever. Aside from Heavenly Sword and Dragon Saber, the two also worked together on The Prince of Qin and The Miracle Healer Couple all in the span of two years in the early 2000s. They’ve remained close friends since then having witnessed each other’s big life events. Alyssa was there with Goa Yuanyuan when she bid singlehood goodbye to marry actor Mark Chao in 2014. Gao Yuanyuan is even the godmother to Alyssa’s daughter second daughter Bubu.
