Jacqueline Wong appears to have fully put the past behind her. Not only is she about to fly the coop so to speak as her contract with TVB has officially expired, it seems she may have also found love with a new man in her life. Since being papped shopping together for pet supplies a couple of years ago, the actress has been rumoured to be dating Lai Man (Lai Man Wang), the drummer of rock band RubberBand. This week, Jacqueline finally confirms for the first time that they are indeed together.
Whilst walking their dogs together recently, Jacqueline candidly answered impromptu questions about her future plans from media. With regards to her career, Jacqueline said that her contract with TVB has expired and that any future plans will have to wait since she wanted to enjoy the feeling of complete freedom first. As for her love life, Jacqueline confirmed that she and Lai Man were quietly dating and living together. Don’t expect them to get hitched anytime soon though since Jacqueline said she wanted to focus on her career for the time being.
Since the cheating scandal involving her and married Hong Kong singer Andy Hui erupted three years ago, the actress’ career has continued to flounder. Her tarnished reputation has pretty much deemed her unbankable and many of her shows as well as promotions featuring her face were all pulled. In fact, her scenes for TVB’s Forensic Heroes IV were all reshot with Roxanne Tong, her ex Kenneth Ma’s girlfriend, taking her place.
