The game is afoot! A harrowing tale of suspense and intrigue awaits viewers in Chen Kun and Bai Yu’s newest historical spy thriller The Wind Blows from Longxi 风起陇西. The drama is set during the bloody and turbulent Three Kingdoms period where the rival states of Wei and Shu battle it out with each other.
Another Drama Adapted from a Ma Boyong Novel
Adapted from Ma Boyong‘s novel of the same name, The Wind Blows from Longxi attempts to shine a light on what has long been said to be the world’s second oldest profession – espionage, and the valuable currency it trades – information. In case you’re not familiar with Ma Boyong, he is the very same author behind the Mystery of Antiques franchise and historical thrillers like Secret of the Three Kingdoms. Amongst the most notable adaptations of his works , The Longest Day in Chang’an has received praise for its top-notch production value. It’s no wonder then that anticipation has been steadily building for upcoming projects adapted from the renowned author’s works which include Huang Xuan, Wang Yibo and Victoria Song’s Luoyang.

I’m beyond excited to see Chen Kun in another period drama since his last one. His age and maturity brings a certain gravitas to his acting missing from much younger lead actors , he’s sexy and is in prime. What’s not to love? I hope they release this quickly and that it doesn’t sit on the shelf for too long.
Pooh
Angela baby will probably be able to slowly win an audience with her new projects.
