Part 3 of Mystery of Antiques Finds New Leads in Qu Chuxiao and Yukee Chen

Qu Chuxiao and Yukee Chen are back with a new project as the leads of Mystery of Antiques 3 古董局中局之掠宝清单. With actor Xia Yu’s Mystery of Antiques airing last year and Mystery of Antiques 2 having completed filming early this year, this new drama is based on the 3rd book of Ma Boyong’s 4-volume series entitled The Game of Antiques.

Mystery of Antiques 3 seems to be a lot different compared to its predecessors based on casting alone. After being introduced to Yukee Chen through Ashes of Love where she played a supporting character, it’s nice to see the actress getting project after project as the leading lady.

Interestingly, her leading man Qu Chuxiao returns to the small screens after having his biggest break yet as the star of the interstellar science fiction blockbuster, The Wandering Earth. Like Yukee Chen, he seems to have been built his experience in historical dramas so it’s a fresh look to see both of them shifting to the Republican era.

Mystery of Antiques 3 will bring another suspense-filled journey about protecting one’s cultural heritage through the unique theme of antiques. Filming has begun on October 17, 2019.
