Reunited never felt so good! Hong Kong actor-comedian Ng Man Tat and Chinese actor Ashton Chen (Shi Xiaolong) provided a sweet dose of nostalgia for fans when they reunited for Mid-Autumn Festival.
Ashton Chen posted a selfie with Ng Man Tat and the caption “Happy festival, Uncle Tat,” along with a mooncake emoji. Former child star Ashton Chen who’s now 32 years old was most recently seen busting out his martial arts moves in the Chinese drama Heroes. Alongside Hao Shaowen who often acted as the comic relief to Ashton adorable badassery, the two are known for playing little Shaolin monks during the 1990’s and often worked with Ng Man Tat in films like Shaolin Popey II: Messy Temple and China Dragon.
While the photo certainly brings back memories, others were concerned with how Man Tat lost some weight and urged him to take care and eat more. Ng Man Tat had some health problems in the past as the public noticed his obvious weight loss. He was hospitalized after suffering heart failure back in 2014 and was also diagnosed with diabetes. He’s reportedly keeping healthy by participating in tai chi.
Time flies! Happy reunion to this dynamic duo. It’s not the first time they had a reunion as the two also took a selfie together when they met up in July of last year and Ashton had wished Ng Man Tat good health.
