Chinese variety show The Truth 开始推理吧 kicks off with a livestream of the cast who will film the fourth season. Liu Yuning, Jin Jing, Zhang Linghe and Zhou Keyu welcomed their newest cast member, 24-year-old Ding Chengxin, while lamenting that Dilraba and Bai Yu who were regular members for the past two seasons could no longer join due to scheduling conflicts. Given the show’s popularity, many were no doubt hoping for the same cast and even they themselves shared the story of their reactions when they first heard the news.
During the livestream, Jin Jing shared that the entire cast couldn’t accept it. Zhang Linghe was even more extreme, saying, “Impossible, I don’t believe it,” and thought it had to be “fake” or a “joke.” He even told everyone, “Just wait, they’ll definitely come.” Apparently, the actor refused to believe any unofficial sources and said he would only believe it if a staff member confirmed it in person. Jin Jing added that her reaction and Zhou Keyu’s were the same. She said, “we’re finished… the family is scattered,” while the two of them held hands, on the verge of tears, wondering what to do. They then called Liu Yuning, the “big brother” of the group, asking him to “save the family.” He quickly agreed to do something about it but called back to explain that Dilraba and Bai Yu really do have work commitments and they should support them.
Even though they couldn’t make it, they brought gifts. Bai Yu, true to his quirks, gave five stools, while Dilraba sent a whole box of delicacies from her hometown of Xinjiang. Bai Yu currently appears in the drama Live Up to Your Youth while Dilireba will soon be busy promoting her newest drama Love Beyond the Grave.
