Huang Zitao Streams Wedding Ceremony with Xu Yiyang to Fans

Huang Zitao and Xu Yiyang tied the knot on October 16, 2025, in an unconventional wedding held at Sanya’s Haitang Bay. Unlike typical weddings, the couple opted for an interactive party instead of a formal ceremony. There were no bridesmaids or groomsmen, just family and close friends enjoying themselves freely. Among the many highlights, Huang Zitao did a broccoli toss, since the Chinese word for broccoli is also a pun on “喜来发” (good fortune and prosperity). Actor Jiang Chao hilariously caught it, shouting, “It’s for my daughter—she loves eating this!” Another fun moment was the “diamond ring hunt,” where a large prop ring was hidden among the floral decorations for guests to find.

One of the most unconventional parts of Huang Zitao and Xu Yiyang’s wedding was the groom’s decision to live-stream parts of the wedding himself. Rather than keeping the event private, he took out his phone to share the experience in real time with fans. He even told everyone “I’m getting married—everyone give me a follow!” We’ve certainly seen a shift from the actor who was once very protective about his relationship with Xu Yiyang as the two have been very open since going public.

Celebrity Guests at Tao and Yiyang’s Wedding

Many had wondered if Tao’s former EXO bandmates would attend the wedding, especially Luhan, with whom he has collaborated many times. However, it seems they couldn’t make it. Tao had said on livestream that people were busy and that he wouldn’t force anyone to come. Meanwhile, Xu Yiyang who first rose to fame in the reality show Chuang 2020 was reunited with some of her fellow contestants. Xu Yiyang’s close friend Liu Xiening teared up as she gave her blessing, jokingly saying, “Huang Zitao took away my best friend.” Other guests included Shen Mengchen, Maidina, Xie Keyin, and Dai Luwa.

Tao and Yiyang registered their marriage in 2024 and finally celebrated with this heartfelt ceremony today. UPDATE: The wedding festivities went on till the night for a more private event dinner reception that was not shown to the public. More names attended such as Liu Yuning, TNT’s Yan Haoxiang and AESPA’s Ningning who were seated at the head table along with celebrity couple Jiang Chao and Madina Memet.
