On October 14, Chinese actor and entrepreneur Li Yapeng and his model-actress wife Haiha Jinxi officially announced their divorce through a short video they played on social media to the background song Someday by Yara Meyers. They wrote, “We wanted to keep things quiet, but with so many concerned friends asking, we decided to make it public. We have completed the divorce procedures earlier. Our daughter will live with her mother, and we will co-parent together. We started with this song and end with this song — we are both fine.”
The couple married in 2022 and welcomed a daughter, Li Xia, who is now three years old. This announcement follows months of speculation. Back in May, Haiha Jinxi had denied rumors of separation, explaining that their distance was due to work — Li Yapeng was in Yunnan focusing on his tea business, while she managed her studio in Beijing. She also mentioned that they had downsized their living situation to cut costs as Li Yapeng has been facing significant debt.
This marks Li Yapeng’s second marriage to end in divorce, after his marriage to first wife Faye Wong whom he shares daughter Li Yan.
