A new look and a new direction? Change is definitely in the air for South Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun. Not only has she parted ways with her agency of three years, IEUM Hashtag, the 43-year-old also just launched her very own agency PEACHY.
According to reports, both parties have decided not to renew after her contract with IEUM Hashtag expired at the beginning of the month. In a statement through PEACHY, the actress shared “having lived as an actress for many years, I needed time to reevaluate myself and to find a new direction. PEACHY is a choice that reflects who I am right now. It also marks the beginning for me to focus on what’s important.”
The agency also added that as Jun Ji-hyun’s agency, they will be working on diversified plans in the future. In the meantime, the actress is slated to star in the upcoming Disney+ political drama Polaris out in September this year. Jun Ji-hyun will be playing a diplomat and former ambassador to the US investigating a suspicious assassination case that has political implications for both South and North Korea. She teams up with a mysterious special agent named San Ho who is portrayed by actor Kang Dong-won.
Jun Ji-hyun also unveils a brand new look together with today’s announcement, sporting a fresh and flirty haircut as she’s photographed in both leather and feathers.
