Another costume historical featuring a bad arse female lead is Li Qin and Chen Zheyuan’s Fated Hearts 一笑随歌 which incidentally also released a brand new teaser recently. From skillfully wielding swords to a bow and arrow, believe me when I say Li Qin’s spunky character Fu Yi Xiao is certainly someone you’d want to be fighting on your side in a battle. That’s something eldest prince Feng Sui Ge (Chen Zheyuan) found out the hard way when her arrow found her mark. As far as the trailer goes, the battle of wits between Fu Yi Xiao and Feng Sui Ge has all the promising elements to be a fun watch.
Fated Hearts Synopsis
When the Jin Xiu kingdom was about to be defeated in battle, an arrow shot by its red-clad female archer Fu Yi Xiao towards Su Sha kingdom’s eldest prince Feng Sui Ge became pivotal in changing the battle’s outcome. Unfortunately, for Fu Yi Xiao herself, there was a slight hiccup when she accidentally fell off a cliff and lost all her memories not long after their clash. Sui Ge meanwhile was also being hunted down and was tiring. By chance the two bump into each other at Zhengnian Villa.
Feng Suige felt something was off with the clueless Fu Yixiao who lost all her memories. Deciding to take her under his wing to lure out the mastermind behind everything, the pair embark on a journey to unmask a traitor and uncover a conspiracy between their two countries.
Fated Hearts is the drama adaptation of Chi Yi Qian Yu’s novel “A Smile一笑 (lit.)” and also features special appearances by Xia Meng and Chen Heyi. It also features Zuo Ye, Qin Tianyu, Zhang Zhaohui, Zhao Bin, Lu Xingyu and Xin Kaili.

I just cannot watch her…I tried many times. I even gave up on Xiao Zhan’s drama because of her. She is so experience and is pretty but she does not touch me with her acting. She has techniques but lacking soul..

li qin is experience,and she’s always willing to take second billing,never outshine her male lead.you do realize Chen zeyuan lost opportunity to act with dilraba,she swap him with Chen xingxu due to billing order.

What has that got to do with anything? If an actress is unwatchable, it doesn’t matter if they are first or second billing or even a bit part. She doesn’t carry her characters well, or to be more precise, I get irritated when I watch her onscreen. She might be the sweetest and most humble person off screen, but what I’m watching is her ability to immerse herself in her character and so far, it has not worked for me. CZY on the other hand is eminently watchable. He may be a jerk in real life or a sweet, normal guy. No one really knows as we don’t know him personally. But I would guarantee his ability to emote on screen and become his character especially after watching him act in The White Olive Tree.
And btw, Diliraba is very beautiful and has a great personality. However, she too, isn’t the best actress, so it’s really no loss if he doesn’t work with her. There are more talented, but less popular actresses out there.

I saw her in a few reality shows before. She has this laugh, where when a person laugh their mouth slightly to a smile laugh or seems fake, but there are such people who does laugh like that. When she’s acting, I couldn’t sense that from her at all that she would laugh like that in reality. So she is very different when she is acting.

I watched quite a few of drama with Li Qin in it and I say the girl can act. However, Li Qin is not good with picking her roles. Don’t know how much power she has over that, but the majority of her characters are very lackluster. Either that or her drama seems to fall apart which doesn’t do her any favor. For example, her character in The Song of Glory started out so strong and has so much potential just for the script to later on have repetitive shenanigans and weak plots. Her character in Joy Of Life is so boring and unimportant, but she acted that sick princess portion pretty believable. She reminds me of Wan Qian, both can act very well. But their characters are just so so and never really left a deep good impression on the viewers, with the exception of Wan Qian’s Nanku Yueli.
