Si Jin (似锦), which wrapped filming last year, has officially been announced, bringing together Jing Tian and Zhang Wanyi in another historical romance. Word on the street is that it’s set to air soon on Tencent.

This marks yet another drama for Zhang Wanyi, who has been on a roll with back-to-back releases on the platform. There’s been some criticism that he keeps taking on similar roles—and to be fair, even his costume styling looks pretty much the same. But honestly? Ever since Lost You Forever, I still find myself checking out all his dramas.
Also, am I the only one who noticed how Si Jin sounds oddly similar to Jing Tian’s hit drama Si Teng (Rattan)? But it turns out Si Jin, which is adapted from the novel by Willow Leaves In Winter (冬天的柳叶), is actually named after the main couple—Jiang Si and Yu Jin. The cast also includes Zhang Chi who played Zhang Wanyi’s loyal and comical friend in Are You the One, Xu Hao, Bai Bingke and Guo Tao as the emperor.
Plot Summary: Rebirth, Betrayal, and a Second Chance
