Zhao Lusi’s Post Triggers Responses from her Former Boss, Former Manager, Even Yu Zheng

Zhao Lusi’s recent social media post about her health, alleged assault, etc. has ignited a firestorm of responses involving producer Yu Zheng, Zhao Lusi’s former manager Xu Yiruo, and former boss Li Wei who is the founder of the actress’ current agency Yinhekuyu (KU) and the company’s former CEO.

Yu Zheng Enters the Fray

While it’s expected that the revelations would trigger a chain reaction, many were surprised to see Yu Zheng responding and trending on the hot search because of it.

In his post, Yu Zheng who’s said to be close to Xu Yiruo claims he’s being dragged into the controversy involving Zhao Lusi and feels that he’s being unfairly attacked. He asks, “What’s all this nonsense? Why are they bringing me into this?” He mentions that he gave Zhao Lusi, as a newcomer to the entertainment industry at the time, a role in his drama Feng Qiu Huang without even auditioning. He says any past issues (pertaining to green tea) had been clarified already and things are friendly with the actress. Yu Zheng even tagged Zhao Lusi in his post asking her to speak up.

Yu Zheng also tagged Zhao Lusi’s former manager Xu Yiruo, suggesting that her problems should not be linked to him. In one of his responses to a Netizen’s comment, he said, “First of all, I’m not aware Xu Yiruo hit her, secondly, I woke up to so many bashers…”

Meanwhile, Yu Zheng updated everyone again, saying he just had a one-hour conversation with Zhao Lusi and that their relationship is good. He mentioned encouraging and helping her and asked people to stop making baseless accusations or causing trouble for her. He emphasized moving forward, and looking forward to her recovery and growth.

Zhao Lusi’s Former Manager Takes Legal Action

Former manager Xu Yiruo who has become a target of speculation has since issued a lawyer’s statement saying, “Miss Xu Junyan (screen name: Xu Yiruo) ‘beating’ Miss Zhao Lusi, asking for ‘sky high contract termination fees’ are false.” They also intend on pursuing legal action against defamation.

Their Ex-CEO Issues a Statement

Ex-CEO of Yinhekuyu, Li Wei, publicly defended himself against rumors, declaring, “I could never beat her in the women’s restroom, it’s not me!” He said he signed Zhao Lusi 8 years ago in 2016 and left the agency early 2023, but always considered the actress like a little sister. His long post included screenshots and personal anecdotes, to portray his strong bond with Zhao while distancing himself from Yinhekuyu’s current management.

Li Wei also addressed the issue of how he had liked a post bashing Zhao Lusi in September 2023 saying it was unintentional and that Zhao Lusi even comforted him as her fans had been scolding him.
