Chen Xuedong Who Was in a Car Accident in 2023 Rumored to Have Moved to the US

Cheney Chen Xuedong, known for his breakout role in the Tiny Times series and also took the starring role in the L.O.R.D. movies, has recently sparked speculation about his career and personal life. After his rise to fame in 2013, supported by director Guo Jingming, the 34-year-old Chinese actor and singer has not appeared in public in recent years, and rumors have circulated that he might have retired from showbiz and settled in the United States.

The actor’s social media activity has significantly decreased, with his Weibo account already wiped clean. His only remaining post is from April 2024 when he responded to rumors of his retirement from the entertainment circle with a playful tone, denying it, “Retire? What circle? No, don’t even think about it!” His studio’s official Weibo has been inactive since 2022, which raised further questions about his career status.

Cheney Chen Xuedong’s declining visibility could be due to various factors, including a severe car accident in 2023, which left him with significant injuries to his leg and required multiple surgeries. After the accident, his appearances became even less frequent, though he shared his recovery journey with fans, including hospital images showing that his legs were wrapped in bandages and he was lying in a hospital bed. Back in September 2023, he said it should be his third and final surgery. Many fans expressed support and hoped for his full recovery.
