Under the Skin 2 Leads Hint at Season 3 to Come

Three years since they shot season 1, the cast led by Tan Jianci and Jin Shijia has returned with Under the Skin 2 (猎罪图鉴2). Unlike season 1 where the crime duo’s relationship started out with conflict and misunderstandings before they reached a level of trust, season 2 sees sketch profiler Shen Yi and police captain Du Cheng already becoming very good partners. It leaves the new season to explore more possibilities with its intriguing continuation of the crime-solving duo’s journey.

When asked about the possibility of Under the Skin Season 3 during an interview with Ruxi, both leads were quite up front about it. Tan Jianci said, “From the looks of it, it seems that way” to which Jin Shijia added, “their story is actually not over.” Tan Jianci revealed: “Just like in the first season, they like to put that scene after the end of the whole series, telling you there might be a continuation.” It can be remembered that season one ended on a sinister note with a slashed painting, and what’s revealed underneath. Hoping that the hints are true, fans have picked up on this pattern and are eagerly awaiting official confirmation about the future of Under the Skin 3 .
