How adorably down-to-earth is Ye Zuxin’s response to fans who enthusiastically took the time to give him a hand with his job search. The 40-year-old has been in the industry for close to 20 years though he’d always taken on supporting roles. But thanks to him getting a bit of air time playing the crown prince in the costume historical Blossom (even if it was his character’s death scene), he’s been getting quite the attention from audiences. “Thank you all for taking the trouble to recommend various roles you think are suitable for me. I got you and I’ll keep it all in mind. Leave it all to me: an actor’s online job search”.
In the accompanying clip, Ye Zuxin expressed his gratitude to his fans for all the love and their recommendations for roles they think he’d be suitable for and reassured them not to worry about his career. Mind you he said this pretty humbly and in an unaffected manner, and I also didn’t quite expect him to actually respond to everyone. After shyly thanking everybody he also expressed his hope to receive new scripts and get opportunities to play different roles. “I am Ye Zuxin, 40-years-old. Here’s hoping all directors and producers will see this. I also hope to work with more good directors and good teams to make more and better works.”
After Thirteen Years, Finally the Crown Prince
Many of you may remember Ye Zuxin playing the 10th prince in Scarlet Heart thirteen years ago with his front shaved hairstyle. In his new role as the Crown Prince in Blossom, Ye Zuxin definitely got a glow-up and not just in appearance but in the imperial succession to boot! In fact there’s a running joke online how he’s finally playing the Crown Prince after 13 years.
Hopefully, it would translate to more leading roles for him in the future.

I like this very humble actor. I felt he was always overlooked cos he did not go the “idol actor” path. He has turned in very good performances in recent years, tho’ in support roles

I thought he was great in that first scene, but his subsequent appearances have been kind of meh. Not saying he’s a bad actor, just not quite as “scene stealing” as that first encounter in Ep 1
