Charlene Choi Addresses Kenny Kwan’s Onstage Proposal, She Once Said They Have a Wedding Pact

At a recent event, Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) was asked about the ongoing buzz surrounding Kenny Kwan’s public marriage proposal during their concert. The singer-actor was a guest at the TwinsSpirit22 Concert Tour, where they once again performed “Sei Sing Bat Goi” (死性不改), the hit collaboration between their popular Cantopop music duos Boy’z—originally made up of Kenny Kwan and the now-disgraced singer Steven Cheung—and Twins, which consists of Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi.

What really surprised many was that at the Twins concert in Foshan, Kenny Kwan knelt down on his knees onstage to propose to Ah Sa! The two Hong Kong stars have been longtime friends since early in their careers, and both are single. Apparently, they even have a wedding pact: if they both reached the age of 40 without getting married, they would marry each other.

Now that Charlene Choi and Kenny Kwan are 41 and 43 years old, respectively, the actress was asked how she plans to respond. Charlene said, “Kenny is great. We help each other out.” She kept the playful tone alive when the reporter questioned if their wedding agreement was still on the table, responding with a laugh, “If he’s willing to marry me, I’m willing to be his wife. Love him forever!”

While both stars seem to treat the matter with humor, Charlene’s warm and open responses are certainly endearing. Fans eagerly await to see if these playful words could one day lead to a surprise wedding announcement!
