Chinese actress Bai Baihe recently shared a photo with her 16-year-old son, Chen Shengtong (陈盛桐). The stylish mother-son duo posed in front of a mirror, with the 40-year-old star playfully captioning the photo, “(He) has his little world now~ only when there’s something does he ask mom to go out~ hahahaha.” Many noticed how much Yuan Bao (元宝), as her son is nicknamed, has grown. Standing taller than his mother, who is quite tall herself, Yuan Bao is estimated to be nearly 180 cm.
Becoming among the highest-paid film actresses in China with hits like Monster Hunt, Bai Baihe’s private life has always been in the public eye. She married actor-singer Chen Yufan, who is one half of the soft rock duo Yu Quan, at the young age of 22 in 2006, and in 2008, welcomed their son, Chen Shengtong. Following a controversial end to her marriage in 2015 and Chen Yufan’s subsequent drug controversy, she was rumored to have remarried and welcomed a second child in 2021. Recently, Bai Baihe was also spotted with her second husband, director Zhang Silin (张思麟), an old college friend of hers, and their almost 5-year-old son.
