On March 29, the China GT Championship pre-season warm-up race concluded at the Ningbo International Circuit. Singer-actor turned professional racer Wang Yibo, alongside his teammate Adderly Fong, drove the No. 85 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II for Uno Racing Team. Despite the challenging weather, the duo delivered a strong performance and secured second place on the podium.
The competition was tough, especially given the poor weather conditions. Heavy rain the day before the race made the track dangerously slippery. During practice, Wang Yibo’s car lost control, skidding off the track and crashing into the barriers. While many were worried about the 27-year-old star as his car sustained front-end damage, Wang Yibo was unharmed and resumed practice.
In the final race, Wang Yibo took over the car for the second half and defended his position against seasoned competitor Luo Kailuo, securing the runner-up finish. This achievement is yet another milestone in Wang Yibo’s growing racing career. He previously secured podium finishes in the 2024 GT race in Zhuhai. Before transitioning to car racing, he made a name for himself in motorcycle racing.
