“I Am Nobody Season 2” Sees Return of Main Trio with New Additions to the Cast

Run don’t walk as the sequel to I Am Nobody, titled I Am Nobody: The Showdown Between Yin & Yang has not only confirmed its casting lineup, they also released a wee little glimpse of what’s to come for season 2! As a live action adaptation of a manhua which incidentally also spawned an anime titled Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, I Am Nobody 2 异人之下之决战! 碧游村 certainly did a whole lot of justice to its source material. A peek at the trailer should be enough to tell you that we’re in for more gory action and incredible feats from all these supers competing for power. From zombie looking beings to Pied Piper of Hamelin-esque rats, Feng Baobao and Chen Duo facing off with some killer moves in the water to Wang Ye fighting, the sequel appears choc’ full of suspense.

Fans will undoubtedly be chuffed to also see the return of the original cast as well as a slew of new characters. As it is, it’s quite hard to get schedules aligned perfectly for everyone so this is indeed a special treat for fans to see Peng Yuchang, Wang Yinglu and Neo Hou Minghao back together to reprise their roles as Zhang Chulan, Feng Baobao and Wang Ye. The new additions are definitely notable such as award-winning actress Wen Qi as Chen Duo, Yin Fang as Ma Xianhong and Yan Yikuan as Xiao Zizai.

Season 2 of I Am Nobody also stars Pan Binlong, Shao Bing, Luo Zheng, Sun Zeyuan with appearances from Wang Yizhe and Leah Li Li.

A Change in Billing Order?

Interestingly enough, the appearance of Neo Hou’s name after Peng Yuchang and Wang Yinglu’s in the casting announcement caused a bit of a commotion online. There appears to be a switcheroo in terms of billing order between Wang Yinglu and Neo’s whose names were in the reversed order in season one.

However, this could easily be explained when you look at their roles in the sequel. Wang Yilu’s Feng Baobao seems to play a bigger part in the story, a big contrast to Neo who reportedy only filmed his scenes in two or three days. That alone should already give you an inkling how big of a role their character plays when it comes to the plot. Nonetheless, Neo is still listed as a main character in season 2. This once again begs the question, is top billing really that important?

I Am Nobody S2: The Showdown Between Yin & Yang Synopsis

In the sequel, Zhang Chulan (Peng Yuchang) has grown into a righteous and responsible hero. He and Feng Baobao are fated. But then what relative peace they have is shaken by an unexpected incident. Chen Duo, a special employee of “Nadutong” has escaped after killing her superior.  Seven special “agents” who have abilities of their own are questioned whilst the remaining six, including Feng Baobao,  are tasked to hunt down Chen Duo.  As the hunt takes them to Biyou Village, a connection to the Eight Supreme Skills Zhang Chulan has been searching for also surfaces.
