Joanne Tseng and Calvin Chen are pregnant with their first child! The couple just made the announcement today, August 15, confirming what some eagle-eyed Netizens have guessed. They also released a photo where they were proudly holding up an ultrasound photo of their little bub. “We are so grateful, so happy and very honored to become parents” Joanne wrote whilst sporting a crop top to show off her tiny bump. It is reported that the 35-year-old is currently three months pregnant.
Meanwhile, husband Calvin commented “we are so touched. Thank you everyone for your best wishes. We will cherish this experience of learning about our new roles. Looking forward to the arrival of a new member of our family” he said.
Prior to today’s announcement, a photo Joanne posted of herself two days ago whilst relaxing on holiday caused a flurry a speculation that she was expecting. I mean, honestly I couldn’t really tell she had a tiny baby bump despite the swimsuit she was wearing. But as usual, Netizens were bang on the money when they called it.
Joanne and Calvin have been married for four years. The couple actually met and fell in love more than a decade earlier when they worked on the idol drama Love Buffet 愛似百匯 in 2009. After splitting up and getting back together again, they registered their marriage in January of 2020 right before the pandemic hit.
